Jung Ji-hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, is a prominent South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and music producer. He began his acting career in 2003 with a breakout role in the drama "Sang Doo! Let's Go To School," which earned him the KBS Best New Actor award. Rain solidified his reputation with a leading role in the hit drama "Full House" in 2004, for which he received the KBS Excellence in Acting award. His film career took off with "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK," released in 2006, a project that won the Alfred Bauer Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. In addition to his success in Korean cinema, Rain ventured into Hollywood with roles in "Speed Racer" (2008) and "Ninja Assassin" (2009), the latter making him the first Korean actor to win an MTV award. His filmography also includes the 2012 Korean film "R2B: Return to Base." After establishing himself as a leading figure in the entertainment industry, Rain left JYP Entertainment in 2007 to launch his own company, J. Tune Entertainment, further cementing his status as a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur.
